CHARLES E. “SCRATCHIE” LAWRENCE of 13 Princess Estate, Pembroke West HM 04 (Westmeath) was the owner/operator of Scratchie’s Barbership, faithful medic of Devonshire Cougars, life member of the Leopard’s Club and War Veteran. Scratchie was predeceased by his beloved wife Gloria E. Lawrence (long time employee of Gibbons Company) and is survived by: sons: Roderick Harris and Wayne Scott (Sharon); siblings: Oriel Peterson, Cynthia Thomas, Carolyn Robinson, Thelma Smy, Winifred Smith (Gary deceased), Illys Davis (Hilton), Jacklyn Joell (Rev Darious), Gerald Lawrence (Shirley), Frederick Lawrence (Joyce), David Lawrence (deceased), Ronald Lawrence (deceased); grandchildren: Shannon Scott and Minister Shayne Scott (Vanessa) and three great grandchildren; godchildren: Valeria Cariah and India Ford; loyal colleague: Theodosia Lambert devoted friends: Roderick “Roddy” Nesbitt and Linda Stemphlet; The family of the late Gloria E. Lawrence: Kenneth A Richardson, CVO, CBE, JP, Brenda J Richardson (primary caregivers), Jacqueline Tyler, K. Andrew Richardson (Bismillah) and children Ajani, Imara and Nala, Tammy L Richardson-Augustus JP and children David and Drew. The Angle street family, Westmeath family and various other associations, friends and family to numerous to mention. A celebration of life for Scratchie took place on Friday 15 November 2019 on Angle Street outside of his landmark barbershop. He was laid to rest at Christ Church Devonshire (the Little Church with the big heart) on Tuesday 19 November 2019.
